Streamyx support celebrity, meet Mr Chua

Now this is going to be an interesting post. You guys must be wondering, who the hell is this Mr Chua. I present to you one of the most well known customer for Streamyx customer service, Mr Chua. We all know that we like to complain a lot about our broadband connection and some might have called in to Streamyx customer service just to get an update or release some of our frustration to the first unlucky person that answered our call. Ever wondered how it feels to answered that particular call? I’ve been searching this recorded call for a while and at last a friend passed me a copy. Download this audio and hear it now (warning profanity language):

nasty call

This recording have become one of the customer service audio training session in Streamyx. Nearly everyone in the Streamyx department has heard of this audio and has since made this particular Mr Chua to be quite famous. If you are reading this Mr Chua, ‘congrats’ to you.

My opinion on this audio, both parties involved, the customer and the TMnet (technician guy) are at fault. It’s not the race that matters, but the attitude at handling certain issue are. Those TMnet really have to stop sending some lazy bum technician, and improve their service. But this Mr Chua also needs to learn some manners, or at least give it to the people at fault, not at some random guy/girl that picks up the phone. If you ask me who to blame, i’ll blame those overpaid, easy to bribe, karaoke happy TMnet’s executives for not doing their job properly. Instead, in this audio for example, these clueless guy/girl has to take the full brunt of angry customers.

  1. about streamyx, wrong to bitch about it to a clueless operator, that brings me to the other point, isn’t they a technician on call whenever they need one? and why the fuck does streamyx mess with ur connection all the time? What cost are they trying to cut down on? Is it the lack of competition that made them lazy? And why the hell is our useless politicians doing nothing about it, yeah thats all, alot of frustrations don’t know who to take it out on, guess i will take it out on anyone who works for fucking streamyx.

  2. nope, their technician work during the normal office hours. there’s a team on standby for big cases/outages or big customers only.
it depends on where we stay, the older our place is, the older is the connection, so u get more problems.
in my opinion, the lack of competition IS the main problem. everyone in malaysia uses tmnets connection, either directly or indirectly (maxis, izzi, jaring, etc). and its our normal politician/tmnet exec mindset that if it’s still working, just let it be and get more money, even if there are tons of problems alrdy.
just look at the current oil increase, get more money, build more and get even more money. but improving the current infrastructure isn’t on the agenda, only talk and talk some more until the next election.

p.s 1 vote from me to the opposition party in the next election, guaranteed.

  3. kurang ajar ko mr chua…
    perangai cam bodoh…
    sabar la skit…
