Streamyx Email Maintenance
Streamyx will be performing some maintenance and upgrading from 14th August 2008 until Tuesday, 2nd September 2008. So disruptions with email services will be expected, the usual sending email problem. This is an email that i got from them and also stated in the official website.

We regret to inform our customers that TM will be performing an email upgrading exercise from Thursday, 14th August 2008 until Tuesday, 2nd September 2008.
As a result, some TM customers may experience intermittent disruptions in sending e-mails during this affected period.
We would like to assure you that the services would be back to normal after the said period.
TM would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused, whilst at the same time, we would like to assure you that we are upgrading our services to serve you better.For further enquiries and assistance, email us at: help@tm.com.my or contact TM at 100 and select ‘Internet Services’.

In my view, please be advised, if you have problem in sending email until until 2nd September 2008, don’t bother to call their 100 number. Why i said it like that? High probability that the customer service people will give this maintenance as a reason. If you are using Microsoft Outlook or similar programs to send your usual emails and suddenly you encountered some errors in these few weeks, try to send some emails using their webmail. If the problem persist, it is most probably their network problem and you can just try to wait or use another alternative email account. Other then that, check your Microsoft Outlook program setting.

Hi imran, out of the topic, i would like to ask about “streamyx” TM violate issue. Can we register a domain with “streamyx” inside. Do you received any warning letter or heard someone else been caught because of the TM issue? Because i need register 1 domain for my streamyx online application. Thanks for your advice.
well slipper, as of now, i didnt get any threatening emails from TM because of my domain name, also i hvnt heard any1 else getting into trouble with TM. but i do believe that we shouldnt put up anything that can be considered as phishing sites, or misleading Streamyx users into thinking that we are an official TM site.
if u are thinking of putting up a website for streamyx online application , it might be best to put into your site a disclaimer notice.
