Streamyx will be performing some maintenance and upgrading from 14th August 2008 until Tuesday, 2nd September 2008. So disruptions with email services will be expected, the usual sending email problem. This is an email that i got from them and also stated in the official website.

We regret to inform our customers that TM will be performing an email upgrading exercise from Thursday, 14th August 2008 until Tuesday, 2nd September 2008.

As a result, some TM customers may experience intermittent disruptions in sending e-mails during this affected period.

We would like to assure you that the services would be back to normal after the said period.
TM would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused, whilst at the same time, we would like to assure you that we are upgrading our services to serve you better.

In my view, please be advised, if you have problem in sending email until until 2nd September 2008, don’t bother to call their 100 number. Why i said it like that? High  probability that the customer service people will give this maintenance as a reason. If you are using Microsoft Outlook or similar programs to send your usual emails and suddenly you encountered some errors in these few weeks, try to send some emails using their webmail. If the problem persist, it is most probably their network problem and you can just try to wait or use another alternative email account. Other then that, check your Microsoft Outlook program setting.

Webmaster Eyes - Here is a useful tool to give you a quick PageRank snapshot in the SERPs for a particular keyword phrase.

Advanced Google Searches - A very useful google searcher. “Use this tool to search google in many special ways. A useful resource for search engine optimization (especially keyword research) among other things.”

The Google PageRank Value Report - will return the Google PageRank values for the list of urls you give it. “The pagerank checker is very useful if you’re using a browser not supported by Google toolbars, or if you just want to check pagerank on up to 10 sites at a time.”

Veolocityscape - some interesting softwares available, just use the free or trial version. The tools version seems a little old but rather useful.

The PageRank Search tool returns Google SERP plus the PageRank bar for each. Great for checking strength of competition for keywords.

SE Rankings -This utility can be use to check search engines for ranking and track those ranking over time.

future-pagerank: Get an educated guess as to the future PR of your sites.
